Mama circle is a weekly gathering for mothers and their children on Monday mornings, from 9:30-11. This is an opportunity to create deeply rooted friendships with other women walking the sacred path of motherhood. In a world that feels increasingly disconnected, the ethos of this group is to create a village, to have “aunties” for our children, to have a space to show up as we are. Mothers of all ages and stages are invited (mothers to be and grandmothers too!). Together we will sing songs and hear stories, play, and model for our children how to be a part of a circle. This gathering takes place in our cozy woodland yurt. Here’s what to expect:

9:30am: Arrival

9:40: Call for circle time. There will be some songs and rhymes for the children, followed by a seasonal oral folktale, to be enjoyed by mamas and children alike!
Songs- Together we will sing songs that nourish the soul and celebrate nature, kinship, and what it is to be human. Checkin- Children play while mamas have a checkin/sharing circle. This is a moment for us to let our children be, while we connect with one another.

11:00: Tidy up and goodbye!

This session will run from March 23- June 15th and women are asked to sign up in advance for the session. This commitment helps us to create a strong container and lasting relationships with one another. The cost is $100, though everyone is welcome to join regardless of ability to pay. Sliding scale/pay what you can options are available.

Registration for new mamas opens March 9th! Email mossyhollowhomestead@gmail.com with your name and your child(rens) age(s) to request to register.

About the facilitator:

Hi! I’m Allie. I’m a mother, a Montessori teacher for early childhood, and a certified forest school mentor. I have years of experience holding space for both parents and children from forest school, to Waldorf classrooms, and beyond. I am passionate about community, and my dream is to cultivate a growing mama village, where we support one another and foster intentional togetherness through songs and stories and cups of tea.
